Chapter Members:
LBUSD BUDGET PHASE 2: I will keep you the membership informed on all budget concerns as they unfold. So far we have heard at the last school board meeting information from Supt. Steinhauser and Chief Business Financial Officer Kim Stalling of proposed budget cuts across the board. School realignments as well as reduction from 12 months to 10 months to some classified employees. This will affect employees as our schools restructure from year-round to traditional and track B. While I can't guarantee anything, know that your leadership is meeting with the district to discuss procedure's for any affected classified employees.
I urge all that's interested in knowing if their employment with LBUSD may be affected, to come out to all board meetings during these critical times. What's projected today may not be what take place tomorrow. The process is 'FLUID' and can change daily, weekly, monthly.
On a lighter note.
